Boat trips
To see the spectacular canyons of the Duero in Las Arribes there are two different perspectives: from above and from below. Okay, yes, it’s a no-brainer, but you have to differentiate between them. When you look from below the landscape will leave you with your mouth open; when you look from above you will have to open your eyes wide because the view does not encompass so much beauty.
Today we tell you how to enjoy Las Arribes from the Douro itself: the boat tours.
The jetties are located on the Rostro beach (in Aldeadávila), in Paraje de la Barca (in Vilvestre) and on the river dock of Vega Terrón (in La Fregeneda) on the Spanish side. It is also possible to embark in La Congida, Portugal.
Tours can vary from one hour to two hours, with round-trip travel. And schedules should be consulted as they vary depending on the time of year.
Prices for adults vary between 15 and 18 € and for children from 3 years of age between 8 and 12 €. You can also go with your dog for free because there are pet friendly companies, as we like.
In any case, the trip will take you between two Natural Parks: the Douro International and the Arribes del Duero, among olive trees, almond trees, orange trees and vineyards. Enjoying the flight of the golden eagle, the griffon vulture, the Egyptian vulture, the Bonelli’s eagle or the elusive black stork.
An unforgettable experience in a border paradise next to Camping Arribes del Duero.
