CASTRO DE LAS MERCHANAS
During the Vettonian period (V-I centuries B.C.), the beginning of the settlement of Las Merchanas, one of the largest documented settlements in the province of Salamanca, is recorded. Located in a meander of the Camaces River, this castro covers about 8.5 hectares on a prominent granite promontory.

SENDA DEL DUERO, GR-14
The GR-14, or Camino Natural, runs through Castilla y León from the Urbión mountain range in Soria to the Vega Terrón pier in Salamanca. The last 10 stages go into the province of Salamanca, offering a journey through its rich historical and cultural heritage, Mediterranean landscapes and natural parks such as Pozo de los Humos and Cachón de Camaces.
